It is a widely used precatalyst in organic chemistry, particularly in C-C and C-N cross-coupling reactions like Suzuki-Miyaura, Heck, Stille, and Buchwald-Hartwig couplings. The bromide ligands provide good stability, and the triphenylphosphine ligands enhance solubility and coordination properties of the palladium center.
