Lithium Iodide Anhydrous (LiI) is a hygroscopic white powder that turns yellow in the air due to iodine oxidation. Soluble in water, it can form hydrates like Lithium Iodide Trihydrate (LiI.3H2O) When melted, it corrodes glass and ceramics. LiI is an electrolyte in high-temperature, long-life batteries, and catalytic hydrocarbon dehydrogenation.
